2. When You "Surf" the Site
Log Files
Like most standard website servers, we use and maintain the information that we
obtain from your browser on our server logs. This information can include Internet
protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider ("ISP"), and other
data. We may use this information to analyze trends, administer the Site, track user
movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
We may associate this information with your Personal Information to resolve technical
issues and support security for our users.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored in a browser-related file on your
computer's hard drive when you use the Site. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your
computer, and are read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
Our primary use of cookies is to improve your experience on our website. We also use
cookies to deliver information and fresh content specific to your interests. You have
the ability to reject cookies by modifying your browser setting accordingly. However,
if you choose to reject cookies, you will not be able to access the Site. Please see
section titled "Third Party Ad Servers" below for additional information about
cookies.
Web Beacons
A web beacon (also known as a clear gif) is a tiny graphic with a unique identifier
that is placed on a web page or within an email. It is similar in function to a
cookie, and is used to collect a limited set of information, such as a cookie number,
time and date of page view, and a description of the page on which the web beacon
resides. Webs the Limit and its third party advertisers may use web beacons to compile
aggregate statistics about which advertisements and promotions users have seen and
how users responded to them. This information helps us better manage content on the
Site by informing us what content is effective. In addition, we may use web beacons
in our promotional e-mail messages to count how many messages and which emails have
been opened and acted upon. This use allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain
communications and our marketing campaigns. Webs the Limit does associate web beacons
to individual member personal information for internal purposes only, in an effort to
understand our members individual preferences with our email products.
3. When You Purchase a Product or Service From Webs the Limit
If you choose to purchase a Webs the Limit product or service,
you will be required to provide us with certain contact information, including your
name, e-mail address and mailing address. We also require other information necessary
to process your payment (such as a credit card number and expiration date). We may
use the information that you provide to us to bill you for products and services you
request, or to notify you of additional products and services we may offer. When you
purchase a membership or other products/services on the Site you are consenting to
our delivery of this information to our service providers, which may include banks
and credit card companies that we use to process the transaction. For more information
please see the section below regarding "Service Providers".
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
1. Confidentiality
Webs the Limit only shares Your Information with others when we have your permission,
or under the types of circumstances described in this Privacy Policy. In addition,
we limit access to Your Information to only those employees who we believe reasonably
need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to
you or to do their jobs.
2. Service Providers
We may sometimes use a third party to provide specific services on our behalf,
including sending e-mails to our members, conducting member surveys, processing
transactions or performing statistical analysis of our services. In these cases, we
may provide certain personal information, such as your name and e-mail address and
other financial information necessary for the service to be provided. However, these
third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of this information and
are prohibited from retaining, sharing, storing or using this information for any
other purposes.
Webs the Limit may provide certain portions of Your Information, such as your email
address or name, back to your ISP if we have an existing advertising relationship
with them. This is done to allow them to target or discontinue your exposure to our
advertisements, once you have become a participating member of our Site. As part of
our agreement with your ISP, they will be required to maintain this information in
a confidential manner and use it solely for the purpose described in this Policy.
3. Business Transitions
In the event that Webs the Limit goes through a business transition, such as a merger,
acquisition, liquidation or sale of all or a portion of its assets, our members'
personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.
Members will be notified of any such business transition via e-mail and/or prominent
notice on the Site.
4. Legal Disclosure
We may disclose Your Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith
belief that such action is necessary to conform to applicable law, comply with a
judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on Webs the Limit or the
Site, protect and defend the rights or property of Webs the Limit, or investigate,
prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations
involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of
our Terms of Service.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM Webs the Limit
It is our policy to send you only the types of e-mail that you elect to receive, in
addition to our customary business communications (e.g., e-mail address confirmation,
renewal notifications, new product offerings, administrative messages, other offline
communications, etc.).
THE SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We have instituted physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to store and
maintain Your Information in a highly secure environment. For example, when highly
confidential information, such as a credit card number, is transmitted through our
website, it is encrypted by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software. You are also
required to use a password to access certain pages on the Site where Your
Information can be changed or deleted. This security safeguard is intended to
prevent someone else from making choices about the usage and control of Your
Information. It is therefore important for you to protect against unauthorized
access to your password and to your computer by ensuring you logoff when finished
visiting the Site. You take full responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality
of your password. Furthermore, while we have implemented safeguards, you should be
aware that Internet security technology rapidly changes. We cannot guarantee that
the safeguards we employ today can protect your information from the threats of
tomorrow. You should also be aware that despite our best efforts, factors beyond
our control may result in disclosure of Your Information. Accordingly, we are not
in a position to guarantee that your information will be secure under all
circumstances.
CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
Webs the Limit may update this policy from time to time as our information practices
are modified or changed. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we
treat Your Information by sending a notice to the primary e-mail address specified
in your account or by placing a prominent notice on the Site for a period of not
less than thirty (30) days prior to the change. We encourage you to periodically
review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
